Moving Bed Bunkers for Underground Coal Mining

2008-8-3  I am interested in finding out more information about moving bed bunkers for underground coal applications. These are not used in Australia to my knowledge although they are more common in the US and maybe Europe as well. Any reference documents or websites would be handy. Also, if anyone is aware of reputable manufacturers of this equipment I would appreciate any contact details.

Coal Bunker - an overview ScienceDirect Topics

Crushed coal is sent to the stockyard when coal bunkers are full. Stacking/reclaiming of coal is done by a bucket wheel stacker-cum-reclaimer moving on rails. The stacker-reclaimer stacks coal on either side of the yard conveyor. During stacking operations, the coal is fed from yard conveyors on a boom conveyor.

Moving Bed Bunkers for Underground Coal Mining

2008-10-15  3. We can assume there will be a ROM coal stockpile outside the mine portal. 4. We are looking at mining in a new seam which is around 60 metres below the existing seam. 5. There is advantage if we are able to provide either an interseam bin (probably the logical solution) or a moving bed bunker to remove the variability of the coal feed.

2020-12-5  Coal is a crucial energy source for modern industry and society. Because coal is one of the most CO 2-intensive carbonaceous fuels, the combustion of coal with CO 2 capture is of great environmental relevance. However, the conventional coal-based power generation processes, including the pulverized coal (PC) boiler process and the integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC)

Moving bed pressure gasification of some Indian coals ...

1989-12-1  Normally Lurgi dry-ash moving-bed pressure gasifiers require graded coal and the minimum 247 size is usually dictated by the capability of coal screening, i.e. 1/8" or about 3 mm. Maximum size is 3" or 75 ram. Five per cent of the coal as undersized material can be tolerated and the ratio of largest to smallest size should be 10:1 or less [4].

Pyrolysis behavior of coal in a moving bed with baffled ...

2021-5-1  In view of the problems faced by a conventional moving bed coal pyrolysis process, such as the inability to deal with pulverized coal, low light tar yield, poor tar quality, etc., a moving bed pyrolysis process with baffled internals was developed to control heat and mass transfer of the gas-solid two-phase and the pyrolysis reaction process.
